Roles to
play
While you are more the welcome to use what ever character you care
to make up, there are positions in the kingdom that make the game
happen.
The King’s Viceroy
This role requires propping up the influence of the monarchy. This
role also requires the player to deal well with people, while maintaining
an air a majesty. Pomp and ceremony are your tools to command and
use to best effect.
The Master of the Inquisition
The duties of this role are two fold. To prosecute criminal’s,
and maintain a spy network in order to insure the security of the
kingdom. Of course, you must report to the Viceroy, but how forthcoming
you are in these reports is up to you.
The Counselor of Janux
The deities of this role are two fold. To be a good counselor to
the citizens, and to maintain the order of Janux. Remember, giving
aid to citizens in times of trial can make them very susceptible
to your influence.
The Defender of the Accused
For all intents, this is the public defender. The City of Landers
is a city of law. There are trails here and the outcomes are binding.
There is a trial pending (high treason, regicide), are you up to
the task of defending the scum of the earth?
The Captain of the honor guard
I feel I should point out first and foremost; there is NO goon squad
at the Kingdom of Desire. No player has DM powers, and there is
no need to police for hackers. The kingdom is completely non PvP.
However, the honor guard is the centerpiece of all ceremonial activity
sponsored by the Viceroy. The Captain also oversees any citizen’s
militia actions. DM events that involve an attack on the city are
a possibility.
Priestess of the Temple of Love
Perform wedding ceremonies for young couples in love.
Stage manager for the public forum
There is a theater in the city. The stage manager makes sure that
performances are scheduled and promoted properly.
Members of the honor guard
A simple role to play, just listen to the Captain of the honor guard.
Member of the Citizen’s militia
Like the National Guard, if things get out of hand, member of the
militia will aid in the defense of the city
Shop owners
Do you make cool items, or nifty fashions? Please open a shop in
the kingdom to bless the citizen.
Writers
The Hall of books needs material. While we could settle for the
stuff that NWN comes with, I would rather that talented men and
women contribute. History, poetry, song, fiction, political rhetoric
we want it all Get published.
